Activity Continuing Education Instructions

1.     In order to receive a continuing education credit or a certificate of attendance or participation, all participants must complete the activity evaluation, which is ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE.  To access the Continuing Education Website, go to www.clinicalosteoporois.org.

2.     IMPORTANT:  In order to claim credit, you will need your Badge ID number.  This number appears on your registration name badge.  If you misplace your name badge, you may log in to the Continuing Education Website and request your badge ID number be sent to you.

3.     All evaluations must be completed by July 1, 2010. You may access the site through your own computer by following the above instructions. The Continuing Education Website will not be active after July 1, 2010, therefore, no continuing education credit will be awarded for your participation in this activity after that date.    

4.  Records of attendance are retained by NOF, 1150 17th Street NW, Suite 850, Washington, DC 20036, www.nof.org, for a period of 6 years post activity.

Continuing Education Information

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE READ

Physicians:  The National Osteoporosis Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The National Osteoporosis Foundation designates this educational activity for a maximum of 24.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants: This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 24.75 hours of AAPA
Category I CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity. This program was planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs.

Nurse Practitioners: This activity has been evaluated and approved by the Continuing Education Approval Program of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health for 23.75 contact hours including 14.75 pharmacology hours.

Nurses:  This CNE activity was approved by the Virginia Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Committee for 24.0 CNE credit hours, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Education Approval Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Radiology Technologists: This activity qualifies for up to 24 category A credits through the ASRT.

Other Healthcare Professionals: Certificates of Participation will be provided to all other participants seeking continuing education credit from their specific accrediting organizations. Many accrediting organizations recognize the approval of ACCME AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM; please note this activity has this type of approval.
